It’s that time of year again! This past year has seemed to fly by so quickly! And here we are anticipating another FFCA summer conference and Ladies Program of events. If you are an Alumni, are new to the Association, a first-time attendee, a guest, or have been to the conference before but not participated, we want to welcome you and encourage you to be a part of this year’s exciting activities. As you will see below, we have created a program based on your very own suggestions from last year’s surveys. Come to them all or pick and choose, but don’t sit on the sidelines! We want this to be a time of Fun, Food, Fellowship and Relaxation for each of you! L Lo oo ok k f fo or rw wa ar rd d t to o s se ee ei in ng g y yo ou u i in n F Ft t. . Sip an adult beverage and enjoy some nibbles as we open up the week’s festivities by meeting new friends, catching up with old ones, and enjoying a time of getting acquainted and reacquainted with an engaging activity. From there we will move to the dance floor where our own Latin Lady Lisa Parks of Dunedin Fire Rescue (who moves like any good Latin should) will lead us in a lively lesson in Salsa Dance! Not to worry if you can’t dance ! Not all of us have those hip-swaying genes. But if you can move, you can have some fun! And if you can’t move, you can still enjoy the entertainment! Come enjoy a little bit of paint, a little bit of wine, and a whole lot of fun and laughs while receiving step-by-step instruction with an experienced and enthusiastic local artist. If you think that all you can paint is your nails, you are in for a surprise! Steps are nicely broken down so that everyone can be successful! And don’t forget… a little wine may be just the element to unleash your hidden talents… (in painting, that is)! LOL! Best of all. you will leave with a one-of-a-kind creation which was designed especially for our group, and possibly a newfound talent you’ll want to continue to explore! It’s time to put your skills to the test at our ANNUAL WHITE ELEPHANT EXCHANGE! This event is a long-standing tradition at our summer conference and is not to be missed. It involves picking, passing, plotting, planning, sneaking, snooping, stealing, negotiating, and relocating… all in good humor and with merriment! It is great fun, especially when everyone goes home with a well chosen gift after the exchange. So please think of something that YOU would like to go home with, in the neighborhood of $35. Wrap it up and bring it ready to include in the “exchange”. Of course, nourishment will be needed for such lively interaction, so come hungry for brunch, ready to participate and be entertained!
